The true difference between Coke and Pepsi

Now you’re probably sitting there thinking “What’s the difference?” Possibly one drink `seems sweeter, but you couldn’t differentiate them in a test of taste. Yet you’d certainly know without a doubt which one you’d buy at a store.
The brutal brand loyalties of Coke and Pepsi are a spectacle that epitomise American marketing at it’s best.

Purely because of it being older, Coca Cola was always the brand that was ahead of Pepsi purely IMO, due to time.
Pepsi enlarged marketing shares in the middle of the century with a sequence of advertising campaigns. In 1975 the first ‘Pepsi Challenge’ claimed that people (obviously just celebrities though..) preferred Pepsi in a test that blindfolded the people that were taking the test. Pepsi also acclaimed that it was also  the  drink of the new generation, with massive celebrities like Michael Jackson, this was a massive marketing ploy by Pepsi which as you’ll found out find how it changed the rivalry in the coming years.
